# Your dashboard > Pick up your recent work, start a new activity or interaction, and open your folders. The dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. Everything on it is about the workspace you are in, which the **Current workspace** card names. ## The band at the top - **New activity** opens the panel for making an activity. - **Get to know Taktyl** opens the welcome tour: eight short cards on how Taktyl works. - **Your workspace stats** counts your **Activities**, **Interactions** and **Folders**. - **View activities** takes you to **My activities** when you cannot see what you are looking for. ## Under the band - **Pick up where you left off** shows the three activities you changed most recently, each with its folder, its number of interactions and its state: **Draft**, **Live** or **Unpublished changes**. Select a card to carry on. - **Build an interaction** has a card for every kind of interaction. **A taste of each** shows six to start with; **Answer questions**, **Learn words** and **Explore** show one family each, and **Show all** shows the rest. Cards marked **Graded** give students a score. Select a card with a plus to make one: a panel asks for its name, its folder and, if you like, an activity to add it to. - **Your folders** shows your folders and how many activities each holds. Select one to open it in **My activities**, or **All folders** to see them all. - **Recent** lists more of your activities when you have more than three, with their folder, state and when you last edited them. **See all** opens **My activities**. ## Before your first activity Until you have made an activity, the dashboard shows **Make your first activity** with a **New activity** button. An activity is what students open: interactions in order, with a start and a finish. You can change everything about it afterwards. ## The welcome tour Each time you sign in, the welcome tour opens by itself on the dashboard. It explains the words Taktyl uses, where your work lives, previewing, Insights and publishing. Use **Next** and **Back**, or the arrow keys, and **Skip tour** or **Get started** to close it. To stop it opening by itself, tick **Don’t show this automatically again** at the foot of the tour. You can still open it whenever you like: select **Get to know Taktyl** on the dashboard, or **Take the tour** in the **Support Centre** panel that the **?** in the top bar opens. Untick the box in the tour to have it open by itself again.
