Add people to your workspace and change their role
Bring somebody from your organisation into the workspace you lead, make them a leader, or take them out.
Members is where a workspace leader decides who works in the workspace. You can add anybody who is already in your organisation. Somebody new to the organisation needs an invitation from an organisation admin first, on Organisation › Members.
Add somebody
- In the rail, under the workspace group, choose Members.
- Select Add people.
- Type part of a name or an email address in Find somebody, then pick the person.
- Under As, choose A member or A leader of this workspace.
- Select Add.
They are added straight away and told in their notifications. There is nothing for them to accept. If the panel says Everybody already works here, everybody in the organisation is already in this workspace.
Change a role or take somebody out
Open the ⋯ menu at the end of the person's row:
- Make leader of this workspace gives them a leader's view of this workspace, including this page.
- Make a member of this workspace takes the leader's role away again.
- Remove from this workspace asks you to confirm, then takes them out of this workspace only. They stay in the organisation and in their other workspaces, and nothing they made is touched.
Some rows offer less, on purpose:
- Your own row offers nothing. Nobody changes their own place.
- An organisation admin's row offers nothing. They lead every workspace.
- Somebody whose Works in says Every workspace can be made a leader here, but not removed. An organisation admin changes where they work.
- A person must keep at least one workspace, so their last one cannot be removed here.
The Status column shows Suspended for anybody an organisation admin has suspended.
