# The Bin: bring back something you deleted > What goes to the Bin, how to restore it, and how long it stays. When you delete an activity, an interaction or a folder, it goes to the **Bin** first, so you can bring it back. Open **Bin** in the menu on the left. ## What goes there - An **activity** you delete. If it was live, its link and every embed stop working while it is in the Bin. Its interactions stay in **My activities**. - An **interaction** you move to the bin. It is taken out of the activities that ran it; the rest of those activities stays as it is. - A **folder** you move to the bin, with its activities if you chose to send them too. - Files from the **Asset library** and templates you remove also come here. Taking an interaction page out of an activity, or deleting a content page, does not use the Bin. Use **Undo** straight away instead. ## Restore something 1. Open **Bin**. It is grouped into **Activities**, **Interactions**, **Folders**, **Files** and **Templates**. **Search the Bin** finds an item by name. 2. Select **Restore** on its row. It goes back where it was: - An activity comes back running the same interactions, in the same order. - An interaction goes back into the activities that ran it, in the same places. - A folder comes back with the activities that went with it. - If its folder has gone, it lands in **General**. A message with **Undo** appears if you restored the wrong thing. ## How long it stays The line at the top of the Bin says how long your organisation keeps deleted work: 30 days unless your organisation has chosen otherwise. **Due to be removed** on each row gives its date, or **Kept until deleted**. After that date it goes for good. To remove something sooner, select the bin icon on its row (**Delete for good**), or **Empty bin** for everything. Both ask first, and neither can be undone. The Bin shows what you deleted in the workspace you are in. Another workspace's deletions are in its own Bin. A workspace leader also sees what others deleted there.
