# Quizzes and questions > Add questions to a quiz, set the right answers, points and feedback, and try each one. A **Quiz** holds questions of any marked kind, and students meet them one per screen. **Fill the gaps**, **Put in order**, **Number answer**, **Essay**, **Drag the words**, **Mark the words**, **Drag and drop** and **Find on a picture** are also types of their own: a quiz of that one kind, edited the same way. ## Add a question 1. Open the quiz: on its own editor's **Edit** tab, or on the **Interactions** tab of an activity it is in. 2. In the list on the left, select **Add to this quiz** and pick a kind, such as **Multiple choice**, **True or false** or **Short answer**. In a type of one kind, the button says what it adds, such as **Add another passage**. 3. Fill in the boxes in the panel on the right. The middle shows **What students see**: try the question there. Nothing is marked or saved. Reorder questions with the arrows in the list. The panel's foot has **Duplicate** and **Delete** (with **Undo**). A quiz holds up to 100 questions. ## The question's boxes - **Question**: **What you ask**. - **Answers** changes with the kind. Some examples: - **Multiple choice**: type the options and tick the right one. Tick a second and it becomes several right answers; students score only when they pick exactly those. - **True or false**: **The right answer**, and the **Words on the buttons** (True / False, Yes / No, or Agree / Disagree). - **Short answer**: **Accepted answers**. Capitals, end spaces and a full stop do not count. **Allow one letter out** forgives one slip. - **Number**: the **Right answer**, **Accept within ±**, and an optional **Unit**. - **Fill the gaps**: in **The passage**, put each gap between stars, like \*atrium\*. Other right words go after a slash. - **Put in order**: 2 to 9 steps in the right order. Students see them shuffled. - **Essay**: **Keywords that earn the marks**, **Full marks at**, a **Model answer** shown after they answer, and word limits. - **Marking**: the **Points** for a right answer. 0 means answered but never scored. Kinds with several parts, such as gaps, score a point for each part right. - **Feedback**: what students read **When right** and **When not right**. - **Look** (multiple choice only): **Rows**, **Large tiles** or **Letter keys**. Multiple choice also has **Shuffle the options** under **Marking**. Anything that would stop a Publish, such as a question with no text or no right answer, is listed under **Checks** in the interaction's editor, and under the questions on an activity's **Interactions** tab.
