Pages, the cover and the finish screen
Add pages to an activity, put them in order, and set up its first and last screens.
An activity is a set of pages that students meet one screen at a time. Each page is either a content page (text, pictures and the like) or an interaction page holding one interaction. A quiz is one interaction, so it sits on one page, and students meet its questions one per screen.
Add a page
- Open the activity's Activity tab.
- Select Add a page under the list on the left, or the + between two pages in the middle to add one at that spot.
- Choose:
- Build a new one: a Content page, or a new interaction of any type. A new interaction opens in its own panel, then goes at the end of the activity.
- Add one you have built: tick the interactions you want, in the order you want them, then select Add the page.
An interaction is linked, not copied. Edit it once and every activity it is in gets the change when that activity is next published.
Put pages in order
Drag a page by its handle in the list on the left, or use its up and down arrows. The panel on the right has Move up and Move down too.
Take a page out
Select the page, then use the button at the foot of the panel on the right:
- Take out removes an interaction page from this activity only. The interaction stays in My activities.
- Delete page removes a content page.
Either way, a message with Undo puts it back where it was.
The cover and the finish screen
Both are optional. Use the switch beside Cover or Finish in the list. Switched off, students go straight in, or straight out.
- Cover: a Kicker, a Title (empty uses the activity's own), a Description and the Start button words. Under Style, choose a Picture, Video or Colour background and how dark the overlay is. A cover picture needs a description, or Decorative switched on, before you can publish.
- Finish: Show the score and Show each page's score, then the words students read at the end. Different words for a pass and a fail gives you two boxes, and needs a pass mark on the Settings tab. Next step adds a button to a web address of your choice; inside an LMS it is left out.
Desktop, Tablet and Phone above the pages show them at that width.
