# Download all your organisation's data > Ask for a complete copy of everything your organisation holds in Taktyl, as one zip file, on any plan. **Data export** gives an organisation admin a complete copy of everything your organisation holds in Taktyl, as one zip file. You can ask for one at any time, on any plan. ## Ask for an export 1. In the rail, under **Organisation**, choose **Data export**. 2. Read **What the file holds**. It lists everything the file includes, and what it leaves out. 3. Under **Request an export**, select **Request an export**. It takes a few minutes. We email you when it is ready, so you do not need to stay on the page. You can ask for one export every 24 hours. While one is being built, or inside the 24 hours, the button cannot be selected and the page says why. ## Download it 1. Open **Data export** again, or follow the link in the email. 2. Under **Your exports**, find the row marked **Ready** and select **Download**. Each export can be downloaded for 30 days. The **Can be fetched until** column shows the last day. After that the row says **Expired**; ask for a new one. If a row says **Failed**, its reason is shown beside it, and you can ask again once the 24 hours are up. ## What is in the file - Your organisation's settings, its plan and its usage history. - Your workspaces, your people and their roles, and your invitations. - Every activity and interaction, with every version you published, including binned ones and templates. - Your students' enrolments, attempts, answers and scores. - Your files, such as pictures you uploaded, as the files themselves. - Your LMS connections, themes, audit log, the feedback you sent with the replies, and your earlier exports. - A list of everybody your organisation knew: name and email address only. - A manifest listing every part and its size, and what was left out and why. Each kind of record is a JSON file. Passwords and other sign-in secrets are left out, among other things the page lists. **The file holds personal data**, such as names, email addresses and your students' answers. Keep it somewhere safe.
