# Connect Canvas Studio > Let authors choose videos from their own Canvas Studio library for an Interactive video, and let students play them with their captions. With Canvas Studio connected, an author can choose a video from their own Canvas Studio library for an **Interactive video**, and students play it in Taktyl with the captions published in Studio. Studio decides which videos each author sees: they choose only from what Studio shows them. ## Switch it on In **Organisation settings › Features**, switch on **Canvas Studio videos**. It is off until you do. It is on every plan. ## Connect your Studio You need a Canvas Studio admin for the first two steps. 1. Open **Organisation › Integrations › Canvas Studio** and copy the **Redirect URI**. 2. In Canvas Studio, go to **Admin › Settings › Developer Keys** and add a key. Give it a name and paste the Redirect URI. Studio shows its **Client ID** and **Secret**. 3. Back in Taktyl, fill in your **Canvas Studio address** (such as https://yourschool.instructuremedia.com), the **Client ID** and the **Secret**, and press **Save**. 4. Under **Playback**, press **Authorise playback**. A Canvas Studio admin signs in to Studio in the window that opens. Studio lets only a video's owner and a Studio admin download a video, so this is what lets students play the videos authors choose. 5. Press **Test** to check that Studio answers. The Secret is kept encrypted and never shown again: the box stays empty, and its hint names only its last four characters. Leave it empty to keep it. Saving a new Studio address, Client ID or Secret ends playback and every author's Studio sign-in, so authorise playback again. ## How authors use it In an Interactive video's panel, under **The video**, an author presses **Choose from Canvas Studio**. The first time, they sign in to Studio in a window of its own. Then they open one of their collections and choose a video. A video that Studio only links to, such as a YouTube link, cannot play in Taktyl and cannot be chosen. **Use another video** goes back to a video address. ## Switched off, or disconnected - **Switched off** in Features: authors cannot choose new Studio videos, and this section's settings are not offered. Videos already placed keep playing. - **Disconnect** deletes the Developer Key and every Studio sign-in. Videos already placed stop playing until you connect Studio again, and then they play as before. Connecting, changing the key, authorising playback and disconnecting are each in the organisation's audit log, without the Secret.
