Notifications and the bell
What the number on the bell means, and what Invitations, Alerts and Feedback hold.
The bell in the top bar tells you when something needs you. Its number counts invitations waiting for your answer, alerts you have not seen, and replies from the Taktyl team you have not read. With nothing waiting, there is no number.
Select the bell to see the newest lines. Select a line to open the screen it is about, or View all notifications to open the Notifications page. Opening the bell does not mark anything as seen.
Invitations
Offers to join an organisation, each with who sent it, the role and how long it is open. Select Accept or Decline. If the invitation was sent to another email address, the page says so: sign out, then sign in or sign up with that address to accept it.
Alerts
What happened while you were away, newest first. Opening this view marks them as seen. Depending on your role, you may see:
- A score did not reach the gradebook: a student finished an activity in your LMS, but the score could not be sent. Their work is saved. Select the line to open the activity's Insights, where you can retry it.
- Somebody accepted or declined your invitation, or joined your organisation.
- You were added to a workspace, or Your role changed.
- An LMS connection stopped answering Taktyl after its nightly check.
- Some background work did not finish: nothing was lost, so try it again.
Feedback
Everything you have sent with Send feedback, with the conversation. Once the Taktyl team has written, you can reply there. Email me about this asks Taktyl to email you when there is news on that message.
