# Make and edit a theme > Start from Taktyl's theme or another one, then set its typefaces, corners and seven colours. A leader of a workspace can make themes for that workspace. An organisation admin can make themes for the whole organisation. Everyone else can look at themes and preview them. ## Make a theme 1. Go to **Configuration › Themes**. 2. Open your workspace's tab or your organisation's tab and press **New theme**. Or open the **Taktyl** tab and press **Duplicate Taktyl's theme**. To copy any other theme, choose **Duplicate** on its **⋯** menu. 3. Give it a **Name**. If you can make themes in more than one place, choose **Where it lives**. 4. Press **Make theme**. The new theme starts with the colours, typefaces and corners of the theme it came from. ## Edit it Press **Edit** on the theme's card. The settings are on the left, and **What students see** on the right shows your changes as you make them. - **Typeface**: choose one for **Headings** and one for **Body**. - **Feel**: choose the **Corners**: **None**, **S**, **M** or **L**. - **Colour roles**: seven colours. **Brand** colours buttons, links and highlights. **Headings**, **Text**, **Background**, **Background alternative**, **Positive** and **Caution** follow. A colour you leave alone is worked out for you. Press the cross beside one you set to go back to the worked-out colour. **Pre-fill colours from Brand** gives you a full set that goes with your Brand colour and is easy to read. Press **Use these colours** to fill them in. They are not saved yet: press **Save now**, or **Undo**. ## Contrast checks When a colour is hard to read against another, its row says so and suggests a colour that passes. Its button reads **Use**, the colour, then **and save**: pressing it changes the colour and saves the theme straight away. You can save a theme that fails a check, but it cannot be a default until it passes. ## Save Press **Save theme**. The name at the top can be changed here too. **Themes** at the top left takes you back. ## Delete Choose **Delete** on the theme's **⋯** menu. It does not go to the Bin: deleting is final. Anywhere it was the default goes back to the organisation's theme, or Taktyl's own.
