Inside an activity: the header, the tabs and Home
What each part of an activity's screen does, and how to undo a change.
Open an activity by selecting its title on My activities, on the dashboard, or under Recently used in the menu.
An activity
- AThe headerBack to My activities, the title and its state. Preview, Publish and Share, Undo and Redo, Theme, Readiness and the three-dot menu.
- BThe tabsActivity home, Activity, Interactions, Insights and Settings.
- CThe tab you chosePages to build, interactions to edit, how students did, or how the activity runs.
The header and the tabs stay in place on every tab. Only the part under the tabs changes, so Publish and Undo are always where you left them.
The header
On the left: the list button back to My activities, the activity's folder, its title and its state. The state is Draft (never published), Live with its version number, or Unpublished changes (students have an older version than the one you are editing).
On the right:
- Preview, Publish and Share. See the guides under Sharing with students.
- Undo and Redo.
- Theme, to choose the look of this activity.
- Readiness, with a number when something would stop the next Publish. Open it to see the list.
- The three-dot menu: Title and description, Save as a template, Export as a file, Take down… (only while it is live) and Delete….
The tabs
- Activity home (the house) is a summary: four tiles (Students, Finished, Average score, To fix), Pick up where you left off with the pages you edited last, Still to do with Things to fix and the steps of Getting it live, and How students are doing.
- Activity is where you build the pages.
- Interactions edits the interactions on those pages.
- Review lists each student who finished the activity, with what Taktyl scored. Open one to see their answers and give a mark out of 100 and feedback. They see it on their My work once you press Release marks. Work that reached your LMS is marked in your LMS, so it opens read only here.
- Insights shows how students did.
- Settings holds the title, the description and how the activity runs.
Undo and redo
Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Ctrl+Y, or Ctrl+Shift+Z) work on the changes you make to the activity's pages: moving a page, deleting a content page, taking an interaction page out, switching the cover or finish screen on or off, and the In this activity settings of a page. Hover over Undo to see which change it will take back.
While you are typing in a box, Ctrl+Z undoes your typing instead. When you delete something, a message also appears with its own Undo button.
