# Find your way around Taktyl > What Taktyl is for, and what the menu on the left and the bar along the top do. Taktyl is where you build small interactive activities, such as a quiz, flashcards, a crossword or a picture with hotspots, and share them with your students by link or through your LMS. Two words matter everywhere: - An **interaction** is one thing to do: a quiz, a word game, a timeline and so on. You build it once. - An **activity** is what students open. It is a set of pages in order, each page holding one interaction or some plain content, with an optional cover at the start and a finish screen at the end. One interaction can sit in several activities. ## The menu on the left - **Dashboard** is your home page. - **My activities** lists your activities and interactions, in folders. - **Bin** holds what you have deleted, so you can bring it back. - **Recently used** lists the last few activities you opened. - **Configuration** holds the **Asset library**, **Templates** and **Themes**. If you lead a workspace or look after the organisation, you also see groups for those. At the top of the menu you can switch organisation or workspace when you belong to more than one. Your name at the foot opens your account. On a wide screen, the **Collapse the menu** button beside the logo folds the menu down to its icons. ## The bar along the top From left to right, after the trail that says where you are: - **Search** (or Ctrl K) finds activities, interactions, files and more by name. - The bell opens your **Notifications**. - The **?** opens the **Support Centre** with the help written about the screen you are on. - **Appearance** switches between **System**, **Light** and **Dark**. - **Send feedback** sends a note straight to the Taktyl team. On a phone, the menu button at the top left opens the menu.
