# Connect a StackleHQ product for yourself

> Use your own link to add your Taktyl activities in Stackle, Quyer or Thredly, without connecting your whole organisation. Students' names are never shared.

Your organisation can connect Stackle, Quyer or Thredly to Taktyl for everybody, in **Organisation › Integrations › StackleHQ**. If it has not, you can connect one for yourself. This is a personal connection: it joins your own Taktyl account to your own account in the other product, and only your own Taktyl activities are offered there.

## Names are never shared

On a personal connection the other product never sends your students' names or email addresses to Taktyl. Each student who opens one of your activities through it shows in Taktyl as **Learner** and a number, such as **Learner 1042**. It is the same number every time, so their attempts still add up. In Insights, beside each of them, Taktyl says **Name not shared: personal StackleHQ connection**.

If you need to see names, ask an organisation admin to connect the product for the whole organisation instead.

## Make a personal connection

1. In Taktyl, open **Account › Integrations › StackleHQ**. There is a card for Stackle, Quyer and Thredly.
2. On the product's card, press **Copy** beside **Your registration URL**. The link is yours alone and works for 24 hours.
3. In that product, open your own StackleHQ page: in Stackle **Profile › Integrations › StackleHQ**, in Quyer **Settings › Integrations › StackleHQ**, in Thredly **Account › Integrations › StackleHQ**. Paste the link on the **Taktyl** card and press **Connect Taktyl**.
4. Taktyl's page opens and says it is a personal connection for you. Press **Confirm it's you**: a Taktyl window opens, where you sign in as yourself and press **Confirm it's me**. Go back and press **Complete registration**.

Your card in Taktyl then says **Connected**, with **Personal connection. Students' names are not shared.** To end it, press **Disconnect** on the card. The other product is told and disconnects it at its end too. Your activities and their attempts stay in Taktyl.

If your organisation is already connected to the product, the card says so and offers no link: you do not need a personal connection.

## For organisation admins: the switch and the list

Personal connections are on for every organisation to begin with. In **Organisation › Integrations › StackleHQ**, the switch **Let members connect StackleHQ products for themselves** turns them off. While it is off, nobody can make a new personal connection, and the ones already made stop working: their activities do not open and nothing can be added through them. Nothing is deleted, and nobody is told. Switch it back on and they work again. Connections made for the whole organisation are never affected.

Under the switch, **Personal connections** shows how many there are. Press it to open the list: each member's connection, the product, when it was connected and whether it works now. **Disconnect** ends one, and tells the other product, as it does for the organisation's own connections.
