# Choose how your activities look > See which theme students get, preview any theme, and pick one for a workspace, the organisation or one activity. A theme sets how your activities look to students: the colours, the typefaces and how round the corners are. Open **Configuration › Themes**. ## What students see now The line at the top says which theme students in your workspace see, and why: chosen for this workspace, chosen for the whole organisation, or Taktyl's own because nothing else is chosen. Press **See what students see** to view it as they do. ## Look through the themes The tabs below are the three places a theme can live: your workspace, your organisation, and **Taktyl**, which holds Taktyl's own theme. Each card shows the theme's colours and typefaces, and says if it is the default anywhere or if a contrast check fails. Press **Preview** on a card to see that theme on a sample activity. **Back to themes** returns you to the list. ## Choose a default Open a theme's **⋯** menu: - **Use for** followed by your workspace's name makes it the default in this workspace. A leader of the workspace can do this. - **Use for the whole organisation** makes it the default everywhere that has not chosen its own. An organisation admin can do this. To go back to the organisation's choice in your workspace, press **Follow the organisation's theme** at the top. A theme whose contrast checks fail cannot be a default until it passes. Fix it in the theme editor first. ## One activity, its own theme An activity can wear a different theme from its workspace. Open the activity's **Settings** tab, and under **Look** choose a **Theme**, then press **Save settings**. **The default** follows the workspace's choice. Students get the theme the activity had when you last published it. After you change a theme or a default, publish the activity again to show students the new look.
